Money isn't real

I picked this up from one more impressive movie I saw today. Johnny Depp starrer, "BLOW". Quite a good movie with a nice storyline and an important message which I always try to remember but I always forget.
The lesson being, " Money isnt real ". Jung, the character played by JD, got to learn this hard way after 42 years. He got to realise the importance of other things. But again the effect started to vain of me as I was typing the blog. And slowly but surely it again crept in my mind. Whether I truly believe in this statement or it one of those idealistic thoughts that keep coming back in my head. How long can I survive without cash these days.
Can someone even question the path that Jung took in the movie. Do we really feel sorry for him? Actually thats the whole paradox in the film. Even though there are strong emotions and lots of betrayal in the movie, you can't really point out a villanous character. Sometime you feel angry and sometime sorry.
But ultimately we realise we are all trying for the same thing. The Money, which again may not be real for any of us. Now, I am unable to finish off this post as I am falling short of words so if some of my friends can watch the movie and take this post to logical ending I would really appreciate that.

3:10 to Yuma

I watched 2 new movies this week. Quantum of Solace and 3:10 to Yuma. Firstly, I wanted to blog about the not so impressive Quantum of Solace. Then, dropped the idea and planned for 3:10 to Yuma.
Guys, this is a film that cannot be skipped. Can be argued that westerners are gone past their time. But this one is surely a master piece. I was already a fan of Rusell Crowe but Christian Bale is soon catching up. The movie has a tout story line with amazing acting by all characters.

The best part of the movie is the desire in every person to be a HERO atleast in he eyes of his family. People want to have there moment of glory. Some part of the movie really move you. You can't make up what kind of emotions you are experiencing (this may be attributed to my low E.Q).

I would not like to write the whole story here but would rather ask you to watch it and then may be we can have a long discussion on the same. Absolute must for film afficianados.

P.S - this blogging is taking me over.

Bye bye Dada

I never wanted to do this but with the whole of the cricket fraternity, I have to do this.
Say good bye to my icon Saurav Ganguly.
The God of offside will no longer come to the pitch. The guy who could hit the ball out of the stadium without any muscle being strained is gone. Spinners will breathe easy that elegance is gone.
And its not only about batting as he had his short comings too. But its about the non chalance and audacity with which he created a team which indulged in sledging (or mind games), can hit opponents, brought a swagger in the walk. Turned rookies into hard core cricket assasins. Backed the people he believed to the utmost point. Never hesitated in making tough calls.
And last but not the least never gave up. Each and every come back illustrates mental toughness. That hunger to prove that come on dare to take on me. I still have gun powder left to blow your analysis (wrong of course).
Hope, the mercenaries of cricket he created now create an army for this resting Maharaja. I only wish that he somehow comes back with the team or Indian cricket in any capacity.
